The new framework agreement means that the Stockholm public transportation company, SL, and its subcontractors will continue communicating with portable terminals from Motorola Solutions.
The agreement signed in January covers maintenance, addition and replacement of SL’s current inventory of portable radios and accessories. In addition related services like programming, installation and project management are also included.
The equipment will be operated by users who currently communicate in SL’s Tetra network. Since Celab Communications AB held the previous contract this will have minimal effects on daily operations for staff within maintenance and security as well as for SL’s procured traffic services (subway, trams, busses and ferries).
The multi-year contract is the result of a comprehensive procurement process where Celab stood as a clear winner by offering the best balance between quality and price.
