Energinet and Celab Communications Danmark A/S have entered an agreement regarding equipment for the SINE network.

The overall purpose for Energinet to implement SINE-communication is to reduce risk and vulnerability at all times of the day. All field-personnel on duty at Energinet must be able to contact each other and Energinet’s Gas and Electricity Control Rooms, easily, quickly and safely.

Emergency Management Coordinator at Energinet, Jesper Tholstrup states: "In our Risk- and Vulnerability Assessment we have identified a vulnerability if the public cellular network breaks down. When implementing communications based on SINE, this vulnerability will be reduced to an absolute minimum”.

Celab Communications will install and commission a turnkey solution comprising a large number of Motorola TETRA radio terminals including ATEX terminals designed for operation in gas environments, radio dispatchers with map, GPS, voice logging etcetera as well as emergency control room solutions. The agreement includes 24/7/365 Support and Maintenance as well as training.

Morten Parning from Celab Communications Danmark says, "We are very pleased that Energinet has chosen us as a supplier for this project.
