Ørsted A/S i Esbjerg signs agreement with Atcom ApS and Celab Communications Danmark A/S regarding the implementation of a new dispatcher and upgrade of current Tetra-system. The new solution will increase safety at Ørsted’s wind farm Horns Rev 2 in the North Sea as well as improve communications with their operations on land.
The solution comprises of Celab Four:C Dispatch with “people tracking” feature that mainly will be used to ensure safety for workers by registering and tracking maintenance staff on Ørsted’s ships and wind turbines in the North Sea. Besides the dispatch-solution the current Tetra-solution will be updated to enable better voice quality and data transfers between the wind farm and Ørsted’s headquarters in Esbjerg. The new solution will provide Ørsted A/S with better control of where individuals are located at each moment whether they be at the harbour, on a maintenance ship, wind turbine or at the living platform.
Atcom ApS is specialised in the design, development and maintenance of advanced electronic solutions for Offshore and has for many years been a supplier to the oil and gas sector in the North Sea and Middle East.
