Besides the proven performance and quality of the MTP3000 series these two radios adds features like Bluetooth and optional positioning system. The only thing setting them apart is the full key pad of MTP3250.
Both MTP3200 and MTP3250 comes with Bluetooth 2.1 that provides a more secure and capable wireless connection. Besides audio accessories like wireless headsets the radios enable connection of PTT-units, barcode scanners and heartrate monitors.
The Bluetooth module can also be set as always “visible”, making it useful for indoor positioning. By placing Bluetooth beacons in strategic locations in a building a user’s movements can be monitored.
Thanks to the built-in Bluetooth the radios can also be controlled remotely from a smartphone allowing users to communicate discreetly in covert situations.
The latest version of the series these models can be fitted with optional positioning service. So depending on needs and intended applications either GPS, Beidou or GLONASS can be selected.
The series is designed to provide optimum radio performance in all types of environments. The best-in-class receiver sensitivity and 1.8W output power maximizes reception and range. Together with two powerful speakers (2Wrms) and dynamic audio optimization the terminals deliver first class audibility, regardless of surroundings.
With the last upgrade the five radios also support a wider spectrum and can now be used in both the 350-470MHz and the 800MHz band. They can also be equipped with RFID which can used for indoor positioning or inventory.
All models in the series are now also ingress protected according to IP65, IP66 and IP67. This means they can be submerged in water for prolonged periods as well as blasted with high-pressure water.
The two ports on the terminals are designed for improved durability, conductivity and resistance against corrosion. The bottom connector is indented for better protection against external damage and is also equipped with a self-cleaning function resistant to dust and dirt.
The devices meet or surpass the requirements of all categories in the MIL-STD. They also meet the requirements in Motorola own quality assurance program ALT™, which simulates five years of hard use. In summary, the MTP3000 series delivers reliable communications as well as lower life cycle cost (LCC).
Motorola Solutions has returned to separate volume and channel knobs on the MTP3000 series. This to increase recognition for experienced two-way radio users and thereby facilitating a smoother transition to TETRA.
The wider screen can display more characters and is easy to read in both bad lighting and direct sunlight. The series combines the best and most fundamental functionality from conventional two-way radios with the latest digital technology to create the most intuitive and uncomplicated terminal possible.
By connecting a Motorola certified accessory the radios benefits can be even further increased. That is true also for third-party accessories that are tested and approved together with the radio.
The side connector features a quick release designed to enable one-hand operation, without sacrificing the connector’s reliability. The connector is also shared with other product across other series which guarantees an extensive range of accessories.
