Announcement Published 2015-11-04

The Android based offers numerous features and capabilities to streamline operations and secure workers wihin public safety and other demanding settings.

LEX L10 is developed by Motorola Solutions, who unlike their former sister company Motorola Mobility develop solutions for mission-critical communications. I.e. communications crucial for operational success, employee or public safety.

Besides meeting the shock resistance requirements set in MIL-STD, LEX L10 is also completely waterproof. Also taking into account its encrypted transmissions and 20 hour battery life it is clear that it offers reliability and security that can't be found in a consumer product.

But even if the device is significantly better protected than a standard issue smartphone the most prominent addition is the new interface. PSX, or Public Safety Experience is a stripped and mission-focused GUI that can be customised to the user, to maximise usability. PSX has also been designed to be situationally aware and automatically adjust content depending on current situation and user.

Motorola LEX L10 also offers all that can be expected from a new smartphone, like high performance hardware, a variety of sensors and support for several mobile standards (GSM/UMTS/LTE).

Finally it has also been equipped with a dedicated PTT-button for easier use with Motorola WAVE, Motorolas new device independent platform for group communications. To really be able to act as a two-way radio it also comes with dual 1W speakers, for crisp audio in any environment.

Motorola LEX L10 is expected to be ready for shipment in Q4.
