Celab Four:C Mobile
Mobile task management
Job ticketing solution developed in cooperation with public safety users. The solution is available for Android, Windows and the the navigator Actis.
The purpose of Four:C Mobile is to simplify task- and status management between user in the field and command centres. This is achieved by presentating task information and enabling navigation to the associated destination as well as providing one-touch reporting.
The solution is delivered with configurable status buttons, of which some are particularly accessible. Statuses can be programmed to be sent to separate recipients by either TETRA ISSI, RUI/RUA or MSISDN.
Statuses can also be configured to initiate automatic procedures. Status “arrived” can erase current route as well as initiate a remote talk group change on connected radios ¹.
Four:C Mobile Android v2.0 supports split screen allowing both job tickets and navigation to be visible simultaneously.
Four:C Mobile is a GUI placed on top of a device. That means you can control both the device and the connected radio from the application. From the menu you can set radio mode (TMO/DMO, Gateway and repeater). A transition to gateway mode can also initiate a switch to DMO on associated radios remotely ¹. Features like contacts and talk group lists are also accessible from the main menu.
Four:C Mobile for Actis
Incoming tasks are saved in the system and activates the information display while sounding an alert tone. When the button “confirm” is pressed a status is sent to the dispatch centre and depending on attached information a few things happen².
¹ Requires a TETRA terminal with the features Call Out and/or SDS remote activated.
² Four:C Mobile is optimised for concatinated text templates.
³ Features may vary depending on device- and OS.
The system has a menu with dedicated buttons for remote control of gates, lighting, etc. Buttons are configurable with name, destination and Geo-Fence distance.
Four:C Mobile supports easy updates. For instance new settings can be fetched directly from a server based on the log-in. Similarly the application can be updated and supported remotely. Alternatively a new version can be loaded on a memory card and deployed via the card reader on the device. Some configuration can even be done over-the-air via TETRA.
It is possible to install tailored icons and waypoints like fire hydrants, other points-of-interest or dead-ends.
The system allows the connection of a camera.
Four:C Mobile allows you to log actions on the device, in the cloud or on a memory stick.
View important web pages or databases directly in the application quickly and easily.
The latest addition to the family offers the same "Tetra-related" features as its predecessor supplemented with features like web links, file transfers and integration of cloud services and dispatch solutions. The Tetra-connection manages task management, status reporting and remote control via a Tetra-terminal over a bluetooth-connection. But they day that the infrastructure is ready the solution supports these features over alternative carriers (LTE, wifi, etc).
Since Android is the most common OS for mobile devices a lot of advantages are inherent. Thanks to many parties are driving the development is is highly future proof regarding performance, features and compatibility with carriers and APIs. At the same time the OS is already available on a myriad of devices, ensuring that there is hardware available for every deployment.
A synergy with Four:C Mobile for Android is also the simplified administrative management of the devices. Configurations, updates and device management can now easily be done remotely, simplifing implementation.
Actis is a robust and simple navigator developed for the transport sector. Being the original platform the application, Four:C Mobile is now on it seventh generation. See release notes under resources for more information.
Four:C Mobile for Windows is developed primarily for organisation who already have Windows computers deployed in the field. This to allow them to use the application in combination with other solutions without requiring new hardware.

Efficiency and security was key when Smurfit Kappa Piteå were searching for a new communication system. The solution was found surprisingly close.
When Jämtkraft had trouble with outdoor coverage RAKEL was the obvious solution. But to solve the coverage indoors, completely different tactics where necessary.
A proven combination of the Swedish national TETRA network and Celab Operator Platform provides streamlined communications, a less stressful working environment and above all improved safety.
