About Motorola DP4401Ex
When working in potentially explosive and hazardous environments reliable communications is crucial. That is also where Motorola’s new ATEX radios will make a difference with their strength and performance. Combining the best from conventional two-way radios with innovative digital functionality in intrinsically safe housings results in a perfect companion for hostile environments.
By equipping the radio only with the essential buttons and knobs Motorola has made the device exceptionally easy to use, even when wearing gloves. And while the digital technology improves audio quality, battery life and functionality the rugged exterior protects against rain, snow, water, gas, mist, dust, etc.
Intrinsically safe
The radio has best-in-class ATEX and IECEx protection, meaning it can be used freely in environments where explosive mixtures of air and gas, vapours or mists normally occur. This also includes areas with clouds of combustible dust.
Naturally the radio is also equipped with an emergency button, a Man Down sensor and a Lone Worker feature that together ensures that the user can get rescued quickly even if something where to happen.

Like all Motorola Solutions equipment the Motorola DP4401Ex meets or exceeds the requirements in their own quality assurance program (ALT™) as well as MIL-STD 810, assuring a very high build quality. Unlike most other ATEX models the radio has an additional IP67 rating making it fully water- and dustproof.
