About Motorola ION
Motorola ION is, depending on your view, an Android based digital two-way radio with touch interface or a smartphone with a digital two-way radio built-in. The integrates Motorolas best-in-class PTT communications with broadband solutions like video surveillance and other data-driven platforms.
Android 10 provides access to one of the worlds largest app-ecosystems that can be leveraged thanks to the many modems, modules, sensorers and slots native on the device. Send documents, take pictures and stream video. Manage tickets, scan barcodes and send updates. The possbilities are almost limitless.
Connected
The support for DMR allows Motorola ION to communicate in current two-way radio networks while LTE and Wifi gives access to both private and public cellular and broadband networks. The separate two-way radio controls can be used in "radio mode" as well as with Motorolas PTT-over-broadband solutions WAVE PTX when outside radio coverage.

With carefully selected materials, high performance and a focus on usability the device is built to perform in all environments. The design is developed with durability in mind, the already rugged display is recessed to further protect against wear while still delivering an intuitive user experience. With replaceable batteries in different sizes, downtime for charging is minimized.
